Settings

Configure Audyn to fit your workflow. Open Settings from the sidebar or with a keyboard shortcut.

Open settings: Ctrl+,

General

Language (English or French), project scan folders, excluded folders, template folders, and file handling preferences. You can enable or disable automatic scanning on startup, real-time folder watching, and automatic cleanup of missing projects. This is also where you set or auto-detect the path to your Ableton Live installation.

Plugins

Plugin scan folders for detecting installed VST2, VST3, and AU plugins. Default paths are pre-filled based on your operating system. You can add custom paths and exclude specific directories. Plugin scanning can be set to run automatically on startup.

Project Health

Choose which issues count toward a project's health: missing files, missing plugins, missing samples, and sets saved with an older Ableton version. Toggle each check independently, and manage the plugins you want Audyn to ignore (globally or per collection). See the Project Health page for details.

Appearance

Choose your theme mode (light, dark, or follow system) and theme style. Three styles are available: Original (warm orange and yellow tones), Studio Pro (elegant gold and silver), and Minimal (clean monochromatic design).

Workflow

Customize your project status stages: rename, recolor, reorder, add, or remove stages to match how you work. Default stages are Idea, Draft, WIP, Mixing, Mastering, and Done. Keyboard shortcuts can also be reassigned here.

Updates

See your current Audyn version, check for updates, and install them in one click. Enable automatic update checks on startup so you're always notified when a new version is available.

Storage and data

View your library's project count and database size. Export your database for backup or migration to another machine. Import a previously exported database. Clear the image cache. Or reset the application entirely.

Resetting the application permanently deletes all data including projects, collections, tags, notes, and settings. This cannot be undone. Always export a backup first.
